Flor de Folar The Taste of Algarve Tradition At Flor de Folar, we believe that traditional pastries are much more than just sweets. They are part of our cultural heritage, a family memory, and a legacy that deserves to be preserved and shared. Our mission is to keep the tradition of Algarve confectionery alive—especially that of Olhão—by honoring the ancestral recipes and artisanal methods that have been passed down through generations. Each product is handmade with dedication and respect for the flavors of yesteryear, using only carefully selected Portuguese ingredients, free of additives, preservatives, or artificial colors. More than just making sweets, we want to bring the authenticity of the Algarve to all those who appreciate true Portuguese tradition.

    Flor de Folar is an online store dedicated to preserving and promoting the most authentic and traditional handmade sweets of the Algarve, with a special fondness for the sweets of Olhão. Founded in 2016, it was born out of a passion for the cultural and gastronomic roots of the region, with the aim of reviving and sharing the flavors that are part of the history and identity of the Algarve. At Flor de Folar, we believe that traditional sweets are more than just a treat—they are a piece of our cultural heritage. That is why we are dedicated to:
    • Preserving the ancestral recipes of the Algarve, especially those from Olhão, keeping the memory of our ancestors alive.
    • Making handmade sweets by hand, using only high-quality national products, without additives or preservatives.
    • Sharing tradition with the world, taking the unique flavors of the Algarve beyond regional borders.
